The Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a call where a person was shot in an altercation on Friday night, May 27 off of Woodlake Drive in unincorporated Buford.
Police have provided few details at this time as the incident is being actively investigated but they were able to say that the shooting does not appear to be random. They were able to release information saying that they expect the victim to recover from their wounds.
The North Gwinnett Voice was made aware of the incident by a concerned reader and will follow up on the situation after the holiday weekend when more details are expected to be made available.
