SUWANEE — As part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s project to add bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along State Route 13/Buford Hwy. from McGinnis Ferry to George Pierce Park in Suwanee, Russell Street will have to close for a period of time.
The east side of Russell Street closed starting on Friday and will remain closed until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11. Crews will install a sewer line under the roadway.
Work on the project began in January 2018 and is scheduled to be completed in Fall 2022.
Drivers are asked to slow down and be alert through this area.
