BUFORD 4 ST. PIUS 1
BUFORD — The Buford girls varsity tennis team defeated St. Pius during their season opener at Buford City Park on Feb. 2, 2021. The Lady Wolves beat the Lady Lions 4-1.
Buford’s Kylie McCammon took her set against St. Pius’s Charlotte Jung with scores of 6-4, 6-4. One more Buford single-player, Izzy Brewer dominated St. Pius’s Meg Griffin taking the sets with scores of 6-1, 6-2.
Two Buford doubles teams also picked up wins against St. Pius on Tuesday. No. 1 doubles team of Taylor Ryzceck and Kennedy Deloach dropped the first set 4-6 to St. Pius’s Sophie Broxterman and Kendall Bruce but rallied back to with set scores of 6-4, 10-3 to earn the win. The No. 2 doubles team of Marigrace Crossett and Sophie Brewer also picked up a win for Buford after beating Olivia Rybock and Kate Richardson from St. Pius. Crossett and Brewer had set scores of 6-1, 6-1.

BUFORD — The boys tennis team from St. Pius took the season opener against Buford 4-1 on Tuesday.
The only point for Buford came from the No. 2 singles player, James Troutt. He had set scores of 6-2, 6-1 to earn the win.

BUFORD 10 APALACHEE 0
BUFORD — Buford hosted Apalachee on Tuesday where the Lady Wolves defeated the Lady Wildcats 10-0.
Leading the offense for Buford was Victoria Bahr who scored four goals. Ella Attaway got two goals while Carolyn Calzada, Alli Treadwell, Shea Owings and Kaitlyn White each got one goal apiece for Buford.
