BUFORD — A mother returned home only to find her baby in distress and rushes it to the hospital. Both of the infant’s legs were found to have fractures in them. The father stands accused of causing the fractures and is under arrest in connection with the injuries.
Bryan Oswaldo Morales, age 34 of Buford was arrested on Thursday evening, Jan. 14, 2021, by Hall County Sheriff’s deputies. Morales is believed that have caused the fractures found in both legs of his infant son. He was charged with one count each of first and second-degree cruelty to children.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the 5000 block of Magnolia Way in Buford.
According to the preliminary investigation, investigators believe that Morales was at home alone with the baby on Wednesday. The mother returned home on Wednesday night to find her son in distress and rushed him to the emergency room.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office learned of the incident on Thursday, Jan. 14, after investigators were notified by the Hall County Division of Family and Children Services. Hall County was notified that the infant was being treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
As of Friday afternoon, Morales remained in custody at the Hall County Jail without bond.
This case is still under active investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
