Lanier High School’s football team had several players named to the Region 8-AAAAAA All-Region teams. Their region includes Apalachee, Gainesville, Habersham Central, Jackson County, North Forsyth and Shiloh.
Lanier players named first-team all-region are wide receiver Chase Jameson, junior; offensive linemen Ben Claypole, senior; and Rylan Haight, junior; punter Ben Haynes, senior; and linebacker Ryan Jean, senior.
Second-team all-region selections from Lanier are running back Kaden Beard, senior; defensive back Kameron Moore, junior; linebacker Gabe Falade, junior; and offensive linemen Joel Parrish, and Tomas Hernandez, sophomore.
Blaine Garner, junior; Damarcus Ash, senior; Tayo Ashedele, junior; and Josh Gallagher, junior; were named to the honorable mention list.
