2021 Lanier High School Homecoming Parade (1)

UPDATE:

Traffic Impact:  Temple Drive will be closed to allow for bouncy houses and food trucks.  The parade will start on Hillcrest Drive and will have police escorts at the front and back of the parade procession. As the parade moves from Hillcrest Drive, left onto West Broad Street, right onto Level Creek Road and right onto Church Street (essentially making a circle back to the starting point on Hillcrest), traffic will be temporarily blocked.  It is advised that motorists avoid the downtown Sugar Hill area from approximately 6:15 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Parking:  Once parking along West Broad Street and the E Center parking garage is full, overflow parking will be available at Sugar Hill Church and E.E. Robinson Park.

ORIGINAL:

Downtown Sugar Hill will play host to the second annual Lanier High School Homecoming parade on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021.

The parade began in 2019 and took a hiatus in 2020 due to the pandemic. It has made its return this year, and the event is slated to be bigger and better than ever before.

The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will proceed down West Broad Street in downtown Sugar Hill.  Food trucks and bouncy houses will be available for everyone to enjoy following the parade.

The parade will feature members of Lanier High School’s football team, cheerleading squads, band and color guard, various other school organizations and members of this year’s Homecoming court. Parade participants will be tossing out candy to parade attendees.

The parade will temporarily force roads around the parade route to close.
