Murder Suspects Still at Large. Police Need Public’s Help.

The Gwinnett County Police department is reaching out to the public for help in locating Chevrolet Tahoe that was seen in proximity to the home in which a 44-year-old man was killed.

At approximately 3:35 PM officers from the Southside Precinct responded to reports of a person shot at 1766 Scholar Drive in. A female caller at a residence off of Scholar Drive in unincorporated Lawrenceville called 911 shortly after 3 pm on Sunday. She told the operator that her husband had been shot during a robbery at the residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Miguel Osorio deceased inside the foyer area of the home from a gunshot wound.

GCPD Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Unit arrived on scene to collect evidence and information. Detectives determined that two male suspects wearing what was described as “construction attire” entered the home with guns and tied up Osorio, his wife, and his adult daughter.

Osorio managed to break free from the restraints at which time it is reported that one of the suspects shot him Both suspects then fled the residence, firing additional shots toward the house, but no one else was injured. The suspects were seen getting into a gold or tan SUV where a third suspect, a driver was waiting.
