The north Gwinnett community is invited to join Epiphany Lutheran Church and the city of Suwanee for a community sunrise service in celebration of Easter on Sunday, April 17.

The service will begin at 7 a.m. and will be held at Suwanee Town Center Park, 330 Town Center Ave.

Tony Bullard, minister of worship, music and youth for Epiphany Lutheran Church, said the service will be a simple, informal affair.

“We open with a welcome and a song, have a short sermon telling the story of Easter, another song, prayers for the community, and a final closing song,” he said. “No full bands or light shows, just the community singing together. The importance for us is the message.”

“We just appreciate the opportunity to tell the Easter story,” Bullard continued. “There’s no real strategy to it. It’s never been a boon to our membership rolls. But we’ve seen over the years that it’s something people are looking for, something they enjoy. So we’re happy to do it.”
