Latin Restaurant Weeks in Atlanta and the metro area begins today, Friday, Nov. 15, and runs through Saturday, Nov. 30, with local restaurants participating in the third annual event.
Over the course of two weeks, the event seeks to increase awareness to local Latinx chefs, restaurant owners, caterers, coffee shops, bakeries and more while spotlighting the diversity of Latin flavors offered throughout the city.
Local participating restaurants include:
- El Taco Veloz at 4372 Buford Drive in Buford
- Tequila Mama Taqueria at 2660 Mall of Georgia Boulevard in Buford
- Indio Brewing at 5019 W. Broad St. NE, M145, in Sugar Hill
- La Mixteca Tamale House at 1185 Old Peachtree Road NW, Suite D, in Suwanee
- Tequila Mama Taqueria at 340 Town Center Ave. in Suwanee
According to the ninth annual State of Latino Entrepreneurship report, released in March 2024 from the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative, Latino-owned businesses contribute more than $800 billion to the U.S. economy.
