The McDonald’s located at 3210 Buford Drive in Buford, Ga had a routine inspection by the Gwinnett County Health Department on March 19, 2019.  During this inspection, the inspector found multiple violations resulting in a failing score of 69.

This is not the first time that this location has had a failing grade.  On October 31, 2018, they received a score of 63.  Their re-inspection on November 9, 2018, the McDonald’s had corrected all problems and received a 100.  Just over four months later, many of the same issues observed in October 2018 were found once more.

The violations that have been observed three times now include food stored under a leak/ice in the walk-in freezer and leak/ice buildup in the walk-in freezer: ceiling, pipe, wall, floor, food boxes, etc.  Other violations include food employee’s hair was not adequately restrained; bangs were loose, an employee with long, painted nails was working with open food & was not wearing gloves, two employees were wearing rings other than plain rings while working with food, the facility is not following their time control written procedures (Two containers of cheese were not time stamped. Time controlled tomatoes were not discarded at the discard time.), PIC did not sanitize the food thermometer before use, no measurable sanitizer detected in the sanitizer bucket, and more.
