Three Buford volleyball players have been named to the 2021-2022 American Volleyball Coaches Association’s All-America Watch List. Those players are Camryn Carlton, Mikayla Hayden and Kiana Polk.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced its AVCA Phenom List on Monday, Aug. 30. Buford and North Gwinnett each had at least one player on that list.
Athletes selected for the Phenom List have a chance to be selected to participate in the AVCA College Prep Program. The program is a showcase for underclass players from Dec. 16-18 in Columbus, Ohio.
Buford juniors Sydney Austin, Dylan Cummings, Polly Cummings and Ashley Sturzoiu, along with sophomore Payton Danley made the list. North Gwinnett has one selection on the list, junior Joya Screen.
