During a recent visit by the health inspector, a long-time Buford restaurant was cited for numerous health code violations resulting in the restaurant failing their inspection.
Golden Buddha, located at 4300 Highway 20 in Buford had a routine health inspection on Thursday, Feb. 2. The restaurant was in violation of several health codes resulting in them failing their inspection with a score of 59 U.
The worst of the violations included the ice machine had a mold-like build up in it, prepared food in the walk-in cooler and eggs were not marked with the expiration date, multiple insect bait stations stored on the counter and the walk-in cooler was not staying cold enough.
Other violations included employees eating in the kitchen, paper towels not provided at the hand sink, the wall behind the dishwashing station was in disrepair, the back door doesn’t self close and there was no active manager on duty at the start of the inspection.
Golden Buddha will undergo a follow-up inspection within occur within 10 days of their original inspection date.
