Lt. John Germano of the Dekalb County Police Department, age 52, of Buford, GA passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019. He is survived by son, Michael Daniel Germano, Buford; daughter, Victoria Jennie Germano, Buford; father, John Germano and mother, Santa F. Germano, both of Lakewood, NJ; sister, Linda (Walter) Pevny, Sugarloaf, NY; and aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Mr. Germano was born on July 5, 1966, in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Pascack Hills High School in Montvale, NJ, and of GA State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. Mr. Germano was a veteran of the U. S. Marines, and he was a Dekalb County policeman. He was of the Catholic faith. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, 4400 South Lee St, Buford, GA 30518 with Deacon Don Nadeau officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5 at the funeral home.
