The evening of Tuesday, Dec. 3, businesses along Main Street in downtown Buford will come together with a variety of vendors to celebrate the second annual Main Street Holiday Market and support two nonprofits that serve local children.
More than 50 merchants are set to participate in the market, which benefits Sharing Buford Spirit and the Buford Boys & Girls Club, which provides after-school and summer programs for local children. Sharing Buford Spirit was founded in 2019 to provide immediate essential needs for Buford children, such as food, coats, and other items, with a goal of delivering those needs within 24 hours.
The market will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased online here.
Juli Adamson, one of the event organizers, said the market was started in 2023 as a shopping and social event for the local community.
“We were trying to find a way to support our local businesses while also raising money for kids in our community, so it’s all about supporting our community,” she said. “Come and have fun and enjoy it. Celebrate our community.”
This year, organizers have added a kick-off event from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday evening, Dec. 2, at the Buford Community Center — dubbed the Gingerbread Ball, the event will feature The Band Loula, a Georgia-based duo, and will include a silent auction with proceeds also benefiting Sharing Buford Spirit and the Buford Boys & Girls Club.

“We are trying to grow it each year,” Adamson said of the market. “The city of Buford is wonderful and really supportive of what we’re doing.”
