Buford, Ga – On May 29, 2019, deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call in the 4700 block of Lake Lanier Islands Parkway/GA-347. A male identified as Phillip Ross Johnson, age 35 of Dacula, Ga was arrested at the strip mall.
Johnson was reported to have dragged a female victim by her hair. The female had visible marks on her knees and elbows as a result of being dragged by Johnson.
Johnson then kicked the car of a male victim which resulted in damage to his car. The male victim was also threatened by Johnson. Johnson said that he would kill the male.
Hall County responded to the call and arrested Phillip Ross Johnson without incident. It is unknown at this time as to what led to the assault and if the victims were previously acquainted.
Johnson was booked into the Hall County Jail. He faces charges for battery, terroristic threats/acts, and criminal damage to property. Bond has not been set on the terroristic threats/acts charge.
The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
