HOSCHTON — The Hall County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by officers from the Braselton and Flowery Branch Police Departments responded to numerous entering auto calls in a South Hall County neighborhood late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning.  They were able to arrest a suspect in connection with those entering auto incidents.

Hall County deputies began responding to the entering auto calls beginning late on Tuesday, June 16 in the Reunion neighborhood in Hoschton.

According to the initial examination, Sheriff’s Office detectives believe there were approximately 50 such cases in the development, with roughly 30 credit and/or debit cards among the stolen items,” stated Derreck Booth, Public Information Officer with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, identified as Quaves Jermaine Sterling, age 22 of Union City, Ga. was located while in a victim’s pickup truck in the 6000 block of Cedar Springs Lane in the Reunion neighborhood on Wednesday morning at approximately 3:30 a.m.  Sterling took off on foot but with the assistance from officers with the Braselton and Flowery Branch Police Departments, he was apprehended a short time later without incident.

Sterling will face numerous charges for entering auto to commit a theft.  The exact number of those charges he will face is still being finalized on Wednesday afternoon but the Sheriff’s Office estimates that Sterling will face around 40.

Detectives with Hall County are continuing to look at these cases to determine if there were any additional suspects in these crimes.

Sterling is in custody in the Hall County Jail but is still in the midst of the booking process as all the charges are finalized.
