BUFORD — An employee at the LandShark Bar and Grill at Margaritaville located at 7650 Lanier Islands Pkwy. in Buford was arrested and charged with two counts of invasion of privacy, after a cell phone was found in the employee bathroom.
Hall County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 42-year-old Micah John Slabiak of Flowery Branch on August 24 after responding to a call for service at approximately 4:45 p.m. when an employee found a phone in the air vent of the employee bathroom and discovered it was recording video.
After the phone was removed from the vent, management determined the phone belonged to Slabiak, an employee at that time. When confronted with the allegation, Slabiak attempted to flee on foot but was detained by staff members until deputies arrived.
According to the preliminary investigation, two victims have been captured by the phone’s video.
Slabiak was arrested and booked into the Hall County Jail. He was released on Monday afternoon, August 26, on a $9,200 bond.
The case remains under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
