BUFORD — Authorities are searching for a 28-year-old man after he jumped into Lake Lanier on Saturday afternoon and never resurfaced.
The call came into the Hall County 9-1-1 Center at 3:58 p.m.
Divers are searching for the man in an area near Harbor’s Landing near Buford.
The search efforts are a joint effort between the Hall County Fire Services, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Officials have not released the identity of the missing swimmer.
