SUWANEE — A 31-year-old man lost his life last night after being struck by a car in Suwanee. The Gwinnett County Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is looking into the crash that took place in unincorporated Suwanee on McGinnis Ferry Road near Northolt Parkway around 1:30 a.m.
“According to the preliminary investigation, Jonathan Glass (age 31, Lawrenceville) was attempting to cross McGinnis Ferry Road when he was struck by a passing motorist,” Corporal Michele Pihera, Public Information Officer with the Gwinnett County Police Department told the Voice in a recent press release.
The motorist who struck Glass remained on the scene.
Investigators do not believe that speed is a factor at this time although the investigation is still ongoing.
His next of kin has been notified of his death.
