The Buford High School football program has earned the No. 11 spot in the 2022 Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings.
The Wolves enter into their fourth season under head coach Bryant Appling, who is 41-3 during his three years at the helm of the program.
Buford comes off three consecutive state championships, 14 total state titles for the program. The team’s overall season record in 2021 was 14-1.
A new challenge faces the Wolves as they make the move to the largest classification in the Georgia High School Association, Class AAAAAAA.
According to MaxPreps, players to watch for Buford are:
- ATH, K.J. Bolden – Junior (Class of 2024) – Height: 6-1 – Weight: 185
- ATH, King Joseph Edwards – Junior (Class of 2024) – Height: 6-5 – Weight: 245
- RB, Justin Haynes – Senior (Class of 2023) – Height: 5-10 – Weight: 195
- DE, Eddrick Houston – Junior (Class of 2024) – Height: 6-3 – Weight: 230
- QB, Dylan Wittke – Senior (Class of 2023) – Height: 6-1 – Weight: 195
