BUFORD — Buford’s varsity volleyball team had two home matches on Monday against Centennial and Lambert. Buford comes off of a second-place finish at the Gwinnett County Championships just behind North Gwinnett. The Wolves make quick work of Centennial 25-14, 25-19 and Lambert with set scores of 25-16, 25-13.
Buford’s overall season record improves to 25-2 and remains undefeated in Region 8-AAAAAA. The Wolves are currently ranked No. 8 in the state and No. 73 in the nation.
Junior Mikayla Hayden led the Buford offense with 20 kills while fellow junior Kiana Polk contributed with eight kills. Macy Upshaw was the defensive standout with 33 digs. Grace Adams had an impressive 42 assists against Centennial and Lambert.
