The Georgia Department of Transportation released a statement advising motorists of lane closures along State Route 347/Lanier Islands Parkway. Construction partners of GDOT will make the single lane closures next week along a stretch from McEver Road until Holiday Marina.
The closures will last from Monday, December 2 through Friday, December 6 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The lane closures are necessary to allow crews to place the final asphalt topping on the road throughout the project. As always, the closures are subject to the weather.
GDOT urges motorists to exercise caution while navigating the work zone.
