Nancy Mode Emerson, age 74, of Buford, GA passed away Monday, February 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen Mode; brothers, Tommy Mode, and Butch Mode. Mrs. Emerson is survived by her husband of fifty-three years, Jimmie Ross Emerson, Buford, GA; children, Brian Ross (Hope) Emerson, Kingman, AZ, Traci (Kenneth Jay) Lott, North Richland Hills, TX; grandchildren, Baron Ross Lott, Emerson Jay Lott, Ross Douglas Emerson; sisters, Nora Mode Milam, Leland, MS, Donna Farr, Maryville, TN, and Helen Mode (Charley) Staley, Maryville, TN; brothers, Johnny (Anne) Mode, Rex, GA, Robert (Miriam) Mode, Pasadena, CA; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Emerson was born on August 24, 1943, in Maryville, TN. She was a 1961 graduate of Everett High School in Maryville, TN. Mrs. Emerson was a homemaker, an avid bridge player, and she enjoyed playing tennis. A Celebration of Life service will be held at her home in Buford, GA at 5:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2019.
