SUWANEE, Ga. — Five adults were arrested and four juveniles were charged following a series of trespassing incidents at a private Suwanee residence promoted on social media as an abandoned location to explore, according to Gwinnett County police.
Officers responded to four separate incidents at a home in the 3900 block of Westbrook Road. The incidents resulted in five adult arrests and contact with seven juveniles.
Police identified the adults arrested as Vance Smith, Jackson White, Alexa Cruz, Arthur Silva and Nathan Nelson. Charges included criminal trespass, loitering and prowling, and giving a false name or date of birth to a law enforcement officer.
Four juveniles were charged with criminal trespass, while three others received criminal trespass warnings.
According to police, individuals entered the property without permission by climbing over fences or gates and going inside the residence. Several told officers they learned about the property through TikTok videos and went there to explore or take photographs.
Investigators also used surveillance footage to identify people who entered the property.
Although the residence is unoccupied, it remains privately owned and is not open to the public. Police said social media posts describing a residence, business or other property as abandoned do not give people permission to enter.
Criminal trespass and related offenses can result in arrest and prosecution, regardless of whether someone enters a property for exploration, entertainment, photography or social media content, police said.
Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to contact Gwinnett County police detectives at 770-513-5300. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or StopCrimeATL.com.
