NORCROSS — The Gwinnett County Volleyball Championships held at Greater Atlanta Christian School on Saturday turned out to be a battle of the best teams located in the northern part of the county. The final match would be between the Buford Wolves and the North Gwinnett Bulldogs.
North Gwinnett and Buford would battle hard for the chance to bring home the county title. In the end, it was the Bulldogs that had the edge to capture the title.
North captured the first set 25-19 but Buford owned the second set 25-21. In the third set, North Gwinnett would outlast Buford 15-12.
North Gwinnett had to knock off Grayson (27-25, 25-19) and Hebron (25-18, 20-25, 15-13) to make it to the final round to play Buford for the title.
North Gwinnett is the 2020 Gwinnett County Volleyball champions and Buford is the runner-up.
