Early education is vital in a child’s life. It provides the fundamentals they need in order to succeed through the rest of their lives. Out of six total North Gwinnett Cluster Teachers of the Year, Ms. Lisa Vogel is Level Creek Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year. As a first-grade teacher, she holds the important role of enhancing these fundamental skills in her students. From reading stories and poems to solving math problems, Ms. Vogel is known for always encouraging her students to try their best and learn new things. This is Ms. Vogel’s 18th year of teaching and her 13th year in Gwinnett County and Level Creek Elementary School. “Teaching is always what I wanted to do for as long as I can remember. For me it is not a job, it is just who I am. I love that I get to shape young minds each day and watch as they grow and change. I see frustration turn into triumph and I can’t’s turn into I can’s on a daily basis and nothing could compare to that (Lisa Vogel)”.
