Spectrum Autism Support Group is seeking nominations for teacher appreciation recognition for Gwinnett educators who excel at supporting students with autism.
The organization will recognize the nominees during Autism Awareness Month in April and deliver gifts to all nominated schools.
The deadline to nominate a teacher and school is Tuesday, March 15, and an online nomination form can be completed here.
Spectrum is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education and resources for individuals and families impacted by autism, serving more than 1,500 families in Gwinnett and the surrounding metro Atlanta area. The organization offers support groups, summer day camps, overnight camps, social skills groups, respite, community training and family events.
A wine tasting event benefiting the organization will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the E Center at Sugar Hill at 5009 W. Broad St. Tickets are $30 in advance and can be purchased here. Tickets at the door are $35. The event will include mixology cocktail demonstrations, a silent auction, live music, food, wine grab bags and more.
