BUFORD — A heads up to motorists in the downtown Buford area this week. A popular television show will be using parts of Historic Buford as their filming location causing streets to be periodically closed to traffic.
Preparation for the filming of the TV series Ozark will begin on Monday, Mar. 15, 2021, and end on Thursday, Mar. 18, 2021.
The streets that can face intermittent closure are Main Street, Garnett Street and Moreno Street. The road closures will be controlled by the Gwinnett County Police Department and should happen on Wednesday only. The closures will last only three to five minutes each. At no point will the filming prevent anyone from walking down the sidewalks or prevent them from entering businesses. Access to the Buford parking garage will not be closed either.
The production company says that there could be any number of unforeseen circumstances which would necessitate a schedule change. So be advised, especially since the area is due to see rain on Wednesday, that the schedule could change.
