SUGAR HILL — The Gwinnett County Police Department was called out to Gary Pirkle Park in Sugar Hill on Saturday night after receiving a call about a shooting.
The initial investigation revealed an altercation took place between opposing teams that were playing at the park. The altercation led to a shooting in which one individual was shot. The individual who was shot had non-life-threatening injuries and it is believed that the person sustained a gunshot wound to the foot.
A detective and the crime scene investigation unit were called to the scene. Initial reports do not show that a suspect was arrested last night.
The case remains under investigation. More details should be available in the coming days.
