The Gwinnett County Police Department is asking for the public’s help locating a suspected serial shoplifter who struck a Lawrenceville Harbor Freight store Sunday, March 14.
According to police, the suspect, Jared Pierce, has targeted multiple Harbor Freight stores across the Atlanta area over the past 14 months and has stolen thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
Police said the suspect targets welders, plasma cutters and generators.
During the alleged theft at the Lawrenceville location, police said the suspect loaded a dolly with welders and walked past an employee who attempted to stop him.
The suspect is 6’2″ and approximately 245 pounds with long dreadlocks often pulled back. He walks with a distinct limp. Police said he often uses multiple vehicles when targeting stores.
