Police seize drugs, stolen handgun, $22,000 cash following search warrant

A Buford man is in jail following an incident that led police to obtain and execute a search warrant on his Buford home on May 26, 2022.

Hector Armando Moreno Luzardo, a 32 year old taxi driver from Buford was arrested following an incident at the Paramount Apartment Complex on May 15. Police say that Luzardo opened fire on one of his customers after a ride service.

The incident on May 15 led officers to obtain and execute a search warrant on his home on May 26 in which the police seized 119 grams of cocaine, 65 grams of methamphetamines, 72 grams of marijuana, and 22,600 dollars and recovered a stolen handgun.

Luzardo has been charged with three counts of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, discharging a firearm near a public highway, reckless conduct, criminal trespass, trafficking cocaine and methamphetamines, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and theft by receiving a stolen firearm.

Luzardo was booked into the Gwinnett County jail.
