FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga.,-Tonight at 10 p.m. construction partners with Georgia DOT will close the off-ramp at Spout Springs Road ( Exit 12).
This closure will detour traffic wishing to exit I-985 southbound at Spout Springs Road (Exit 12) until 5 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The same overnight closure will be in effect Tuesday night (10 p.m.-5 a.m.) but on the southbound entrance ramp of I-985 at Spout Springs Rd. (Exit 12).
This closure and detour will allow the grinding of the driving surface to be completed.
This project was awarded in September of 2018 to Diamond Surfaces, Inc. and has a scheduled completion date of August 31, 2019. This grinding project spans the 24 miles from I-985 at the I-85 Interchange in Gwinnett County to the north of State Route 369 in Hall County. This project will also replace the pavement markings and add raised pavement markers (reflectors) to the roadway.
