Single lane closures on I-85 in Gwinnett and Barrow counties will occur nightly next week as construction activities continue for the I-85 Widening project.
Work on I-85 northbound will necessitate closing one lane between Hamilton Mill Road and the Spout Springs Road overpass in Gwinnett County. Motorists traveling southbound should anticipate single lane closures between SR 211 in Barrow County and Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County for work at the Spout Springs Road overpass. Northbound drivers will also experience a single lane closure from SR 53 to SR 60 in Jackson County nightly from Tuesday through Thursday.
Lane closures in both directions will occur weeknights between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through Friday, from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday, and from 9 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
