The City of Sugar Hill is well known for planning family-friendly events. Sugar Hill brought together the fun of the Splash Park with their delicious food truck night. Two popular activities were combined within the city into one fantastic event for the community. During the summer, Splash Night happens on the last Friday of the month, with the previous Splash Night held on June 29th.
An estimated 800-900 people enjoyed the activities that started at 5:30 p.m. Kids ran around the Splash Park shrieking and having a blast. Locals were able to chow down on food catered by the participating food trucks. Names such as Sunshine Alchemy, Louisiana Purchase, Chefs on Wheels, Brooke Lynn’s Own, Daddy O’Brien’s, and Rio’s Italian Ice all stayed busy throughout the evening. Inflatables and live music were also available for attendees to enjoy. People were asked to bring donations for the North Gwinnett Co-Op.
As Splash Night came to an end at 9:00 p.m., about one-quarter of the attendees stayed afterward to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 2 on the big screen. Many in attendance, adults and kids alike, reported that they loved Sugar Hill’s Splash Night and planned to the attend next one scheduled for July 27th.
The July 27th event will feature music by DJ Bobby, and attendees are asked to bring school supplies to benefit the Lanier cluster of Gwinnett County schools. The Tempted Palate, Spice the Americas, Black Tie BBQ, Peace of Pita, Sweet Chimney Bakery, and Daddy O’Brien’s are the food trucks slated to be at July’s Splash Night.
