The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced nightly lane closures for State Route 20/Buford Drive. The closures began Friday, Sept. 10.
The nightly lane closures, weather permitting, begin at 9 p.m and end at 6 a.m. the following morning. The single lane closures are expected to continue for about 90 days for resurfacing and patching along five miles of the corridor. Locations will change nightly within the project limits.
The closures will begin at Laurel Drive and extend to Ga. Highway 316/University Parkway.
Drivers are asked to reduce their speed in work zones and be aware of workers.
The resurfacing project is expected to be completed in April 2022.
