Sugar Hill’s AlignLife – Chiropractic and Natural Health Center is collecting gifts for Jesse’s House this holiday season.

Jesse’s House is an emergency shelter in Cumming, Georgia which caters to adolescent girls who are victims of abuse and neglect. The nonprofit was founded in 1998 in response to a needs assessment survey by Kennesaw State University which identified gaps in services for the north Georgia region.

The current shelter is capable of housing up to 12 girls at a time. Most girls who are housed there end up staying for about a year.

In the 23 years that Jesse’s House has been in operation, they have served over 1,000 girls.

Especially desired items are:

  • Makeup items (sponges, brushes, foundation, eye liner, brow gel, etc.)
  • Makeup remover wipes

We have supported Jesse’s House for several years and look forward to doing so again this year.”

According to Dr. Shaleigh Faieta, the clinic began accepting donations on Nov. 27 and will continue through Dec. 21. “So, if you would like to help bring joy to the most vulnerable members of our community this holiday, we would greatly appreciate your support and thank you in advance,” she emphasized.
