Sugar Hill suspends in-person services at City Hall

SUGAR HILL — Effective Friday, March 20, the Sugar Hill City Hall will suspend all in-person services and close the building to the public indefinitely.

The decision was made in response to the precautions advised by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

City staff will continue to provide all remote services and report to the city hall to carry out the daily functions of the City.

Beginning on March 20, Business License applications, Planning and Zoning Permit applications and other service applications are by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 770-945-6716.

Gas Utility payments can be made by calling 1-855-748-1345 or visiting https://ipn.paymentus.com/cp/shga. In an effort to limit public interaction, the standard convenience fee of $2.25 for paying by phone or online will be credited back to the gas account.

Payments may also be made in-person at The Eagle Theatre box office, Mon-Fri 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Customers may also pay via check by dropping an envelope at the drop box next to the city hall. As a reminder, please do not send cash by mail or in the dropbox.

For any assistance with gas services, please contact the Sugar Hill Customer Service at (770)-945-6716. General questions may be sent to communications@cityofsugarhill.com.

Additional information will be posted on the city website at www.cityofsugarhill.com or on the city’s social media accounts.
