A Suwanee-based nonprofit organization that provides Gwinnett families with support, education and resources related to autism has received a grant from the Jackson EMC Foundation.
Spectrum Autism Support Group was granted $15,000 to help disadvantaged individuals with autism ages 4 to 22 attend a weeklong summer camp program with daily activities that teach social skills lessons.
According to the organization, “Funding like this helps us keep costs lower for families, making our programs more accessible.”
In addition to its annual summer camp, Spectrum offers monthly meetings, family events, respite and community training. For more information, click here.
