Teen robbed of his shoes and phone at gunpoint

BUFORD — A teen was robbed in broad daylight at his apartment complex’s basketball court by two black males.

The incident took place inside the Reserve at Ivy Creek Apartment complex that is located off of Mall of Georgia Boulevard in Buford.  A teenage male was at the complex’s basketball court when a black male approached him at approximately 5:30 p.m. on March 11.

The black male asked the teen, “Where Sean at?”  The teen told the male that he didn’t know anyone by that name.  The male was persistent, demanding to know where Sean was and insisted that Sean owed him money.

The male suspect then knocked the teen’s phone out of his hands and demanded that he take off his Nike Air Jordan shoes.  The teen hesitated, causing the suspect to react.  The suspect reached for his waistband with his left hand saying, “Don’t make me stick you.”

The teen took off his shoes while another male suspect grabbed his phone and demanded that the teen unlock the screen to his phone.  The two male suspects then ran back to their vehicle and took off.

The first suspect is described as a black male between 18 and 25 years old who had dark skin, is approximately 6 ft. tall, medium build, and has facial scruff.  He was wearing ripped blue jeans and a black “Hey Arnold” t-shirt.

The second suspect is described as a black male between 18 and 25 years old with a lighter complexion, is approximately 5 ft. 9 in. tall and has a medium build. He had a goatee beard and was wearing black sweat pants and a black and red t-shirt.

The suspect’s vehicle is said to be a late model silver 4-door car with chrome rims and tinted windows.  The car is possibly a Toyota or Nissan and was described as being “a nice car.”
