BUFORD — A call came into Hall County in reference to a pizza delivery driver being robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday evening, December 17. Deputies with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call and met with the driver at a location in the 4000 block of Lanier Islands Parkway.
The driver said that the incident actually took place on Orchard Way in the Countryside Village of Lake Lanier neighborhood in unincorporated Buford. The driver discovered that the address he was supposed to deliver the pizza to was an invalid address but he was approached by two teenagers.
As the driver was handing the pizza over, one of the suspects pulled out a handgun placing it against the victim’s chest. The other teen stood by the victim’s car. The victim then said he pushed the gun away and drove away and the suspects ran off.
A search was conducted to locate the two suspects and about an hour after the initial call, deputies located the two suspects. The two teens were located at a residence in the same neighborhood on Walnut Trace. They were arrested without incident and deputies located the suspect weapon which turned out to be a replica handgun.
Both suspects were transported to the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center. The case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
