Brayden Jacobs, Buford football’s top offensive tackle and Clemson pledge, has left the program according to a person with knowledge of the situation and confirmed by head coach Bryant Appling.

“Not commenting on it,” Appling told the North Gwinnett Voice. “But he is gone.”

Jacobs will transfer to St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person said Jacobs hadn’t attended practice since Monday.

Jacobs posted to Instagram on Sunday that he transferred to Milton High School. Milton and Buford face off against each other to open the season Aug. 16.

Jacobs, 6-foot-7, 318 pounds, entered his senior season with the expectation that he would anchor the Wolves’ offensive line with uncertainties at the guard positions.

According to rivals.com, Jacobs is rated as a four-star prospect and the 13th-best in the state of Georgia.
