Hall County Fire Services responded to a reported boat explosion at Lanier Islands about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, May 9.
The incident occurred at the gas docks for the Port of Indecision at Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. Upon arrival, fire crews found a boat fully engulfed in flames and a dock fire as a result of a jet ski that had drifted away from the area of the fire.
Two individuals, a 16-year-old female and a 13-year-old male, were flown to Grady Hospital in Atlanta. A 39-year-old woman was transported by fire services to Grady Memorial. Three individuals refused transport by ambulance.
The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the incident.
