Major wireless carriers are experiencing service outages across the nation on Monday afternoon. Companies that have had reported outages are T-Mobile, MetroPCS by T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. The outages are affecting text messaging, incoming, and outgoing phone calls.
T-Mobile and MetroPCS by T-Mobile have had the most reported outages out of all the wireless companies. On downdetector.com, 100,000 T-Mobile customers are reporting service outages.
Neville Ray, the President of Technology at T-Mobile took to Twitter on Monday afternoon. He tweeted, “Our engineers are working to resolve a voice and data issue that has been affecting customers around the country. We’re sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have this fixed shortly.”
Some of the affected areas include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, New York and Los Angeles, along with other metropolitan areas.
