Buford and North Gwinnett’s varsity wrestling teams advance to the GHSA Class AAAAAAA State Duals Championships that will take place on Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Buford Arena.
On Saturday, Jan. 14, Buford easily defeated both of their opponents in the Class AAAAAAA Duals Prelims held at the Buford Arena. The Wolves beat Parkview 73-0 and Cherokee 69-9 to advance to the Elite Eight.
North Gwinnett also defeated both of their opponents in the prelims. The Bulldogs, wrestling at home, bested Richmond Hill 41-30, as well as Marietta 47-31 to advance to the Elite Eight at Buford Arena on Saturday, Jan. 21.
