Buford finishes 5th at Kansas City Stampede
The Buford varsity wrestling team traveled to Missouri to compete in the Kansas City Stampede, a tournament featuring 70 teams from 12 states. Buford finished fifth overall in the two-day, 24-mat competition.
The Wolves top finishers were Drew Gorman (third place), D.J. Clarke (fifth place), Ty Gentry (sixth place), Maddox McArthur (sixth place), Gavin Pope (eighth place) and Aaron Riner (eighth place).
Lanier has two varsity top finishers at Guerilla Warfare IX tournament
The Lanier wrestling team participated in the Guerilla Warfare IX tournament at Berkmar High School Dec. 16-17, 2022. The varsity Longhorns and the junior varsity Longhorns each had two top-four place finishers during the 31-team tournament.
For the varsity team, Caleb Doker was runner-up in his weight class while Cooper Martin finished fourth.
Eddie Aguilar finished in second place and Wyatt Andrews came in fourth place for the junior varsity team.
