The new 4,500-square-foot location is expected to open in late 2027.
BUFORD, Ga. — Delta Community Credit Union plans to relocate its Buford branch from its current location to a larger storefront.

The new branch, being developed at 2759 Hamilton Mill Road is scheduled to open in late 2027. The branch will occupy 4,500 square feet, nine times the size of the existing location. Plans call for an eight-person staff, additional member parking and two ATMs equipped with Live Teller service.
“Moving and expanding our Buford branch reflects our commitment to families and businesses in Gwinnett County,” Delta Community CEO Hank Halter said.
The new location will be approximately 1 mile from the current branch and will provide access to Interstate 85 for members traveling from Braselton, Mulberry and other surrounding communities.
“We have 8,000 members living within a 7-mile radius of our new location, and we look forward to providing them with greater value and convenience while welcoming future members to be part of Georgia’s largest credit union.” Halter said.
Delta Community opened its current Buford branch at 3300 Hamilton Mill Road in 2009. The branch was the credit union’s first location in Gwinnett County.
The credit union has since added branches in Duluth and Snellville and serves more than 40,000 members who live or work in Gwinnett County.
The existing Buford branch will remain open until the new location is ready. Delta Community said it expects a seamless transition with no planned interruption to regular operating hours or member services.
Founded in 1940, Delta Community is a nonprofit financial cooperative with $9.2 billion in assets and more than 540,000 members. It operates 31 branches in metro Atlanta and three branches outside Georgia.
